Launched in 2023, Christy Cove is a fan-based website dedicated to the TV series Christy, which is based on the novel of the same name written by Catherine Marshall. Christy Cove is the only definitive website dedicated to the TV series created by Ken Wales. The website’s primary mission is to keep the memory of the TV series, the novel, and the children and people of East Tennessee alive.
Initially, the site was experiencing steady growth in traffic. However, Christy Cove needed to attract more attention and achieve further growth since its launch. Moreover, the website did not utilize search engine optimization to attract and engage more users. Additionally, it had several technical SEO problems, including poor redirects, broken links, and missing alt tags, to name a few. Consequently, the challenge was to create a keyword strategy that would capture more attention and grow the audience well into the future.
Solution
After conducting a thorough SEO audit of the website, I implemented keyword strategies and SEO best practices to optimize on-page elements. These included titles, H1 tags, meta descriptions, URLs, and alt image text. By fine-tuning these elements, organic search rankings improved, thereby maximizing their online presence. Furthermore, Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Search Console (GSC) were used for precise data measurement and analysis. As a result, within three months, the site saw positive results. Consequently, these optimizations made Christy Cove more discoverable in the search engine results pages.
