Formed in 1998 from the acquisition of five hospitals in Tennessee from Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corporation, Mountain States Health Alliance grew into a large regional health system with 13 hospitals serving Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. Since then, they have continued their mission to bring world-class healthcare to the people of Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. They continuously look for new strategies to further enhance the healthcare services in their service region.
With this forward-thinking philosophy in mind, the health system’s stakeholders wanted a captivating and engaging website for their users. Their current site needed a complete overhaul. The website did not represent their brand accurately, it was not mobile-friendly and the site speed was exceedingly slow. The custom-developed CMS was difficult for their internal team to use and update. The task was to create a beautiful, responsive website experience to attract and convert users.
Solution
From the onset, the design was created to eliminate user frustration and navigation problems to enhance the user experience. The new site serves as a resource for their employees and the community. Using bold imagery and captivating copy helps showcase the medical talent for impactful storytelling. Mountain States Health Alliance’s new design, based on its brand identity, simplifies the site navigation to help attract and convert new users.
